Low energy consumption, smart control
Upgraded air-conditioning. So this week we replaced all airconditioning units in villa Odysseus Rhodes. Not planned but necesary because one of them failed twice after a short period and we didn’t want to disturb our guests with these issues. The old units could not be fully trusted anymore even after regular maintenance last July. One of the units broke down after 2 weeks of service and were rapidly replaced within 24 hours by GT Clima which is a high quality airconditioning repair and maintenance company in Maritsa.
We didn’t forget the lighting in our pool because this is part of our sustainability plan for the near future. LED underwater pool and spa lights are much more energy efficient than traditional incandescent and halogen pool lights.
LED pool lights use just a fraction of the wattage that halogen lights do to create the same amount of light. And LEDs are more durable — lasting up to 10 times longer than the traditional bulbs that have been the lighting for our pool before we bought the house last year.
Heating the pool for the early season is now under investigation because there are several options to this in a eco-friendly way.
