A Dutch couple in Greece
Hello visitor! We’re delighted that you found the website of our beautifull villa on Rhodes in Greece and therefore we introduce ourselves to you.
We are Sylvia & Theo and we live semi-permanently on Rhodes.
After spending our holidays on the Greek islands for almost 20 years, it was the island of Rhodes that always stood out in terms of friendly people, a fine atmosphere and is still is our favourite Island. In 2023 we decided to buy a house on Rhodes, but the purchase was aborted at the last minute due to legal problems at the land registry (Cadastre). Unfortunately, this happens more often in Greece. Fortunately, we were assisted by a very professional lawyer from the Elxis real estate agency who helped us excellently with all the legal aspects regarding the purchase of the property. In Greece you simply cannot buy a house without a good lawyer.
Eventually we were able to buy our current beautiful villa, which is located near the beautiful Tsambika Beach, and we enjoy it to the fullest every day.
Because we want to share this beautiful island and the location with like-minded people, who are also looking for peace, creativety, space and relaxation, we decided to rent out our house during the summer months to lovers of the peace and space that our house and surroundings offer.
We want to tell you more about the island and the sights it has to offer if you like. Partly because we have been coming here for so long, we have an extensive network of friends with whom we share our knowledge about the island.
We have the ambition to learn Greek to be able to integrate even better on the island. Greek is a difficult language, so we are realistic about how long this will take. Fortunately there are quite a some Dutch people which makes life a bit easier sometimes.
